Once inside your account, follow all necessary steps from here on out to complete your setup as directed in the intuitive user interface of the Blink App. At this point, you will have created a secure login for yourself which you can use for future logins when accessing features within the product’s systems such as live video streaming, recorded video archives, notifications, etc.

Connect the Blink Sync Module

Once the Blink Sync Module is connected to a power source and your home internet, the installation will begin! The Blink app will prompt you with step-by-step instructions to complete the installation. To provide maximum security, the app will require that you sign into your account before continuing. Make sure that you’re connected to a secure network (2.4GHz network only) during setup and that your phone also has Bluetooth enabled.

To connect to the Sync Module, use either one of these two methods:
1. Select “Add Sync Module” from within the app once all cables have been set up: open up the Home tab in your app, tap “More Options,” select “Add a Product” and then select “Sync Module.” From here, follow in-app prompts for setup.
2. For advanced users who already own compatible products, like a Nest product or Amazon Alexa device: open up the Home tab in your app, tap “More Options,” select “Add a Product” and then select either “Nest” or “Amazon Alexa”-follow in-app prompts for setup from there.

When prompted when in scope of your Router/Access Point (this is important for proper Wi-Fi connection), enter Network Name (SSID) & Password when prompted on sync module’s LCD or via mobile device’s GUI/App: press down arrow 5 times & enter password with press of right arrow to get towards end/acceptance of process if this feature available upon Initial Setup Menu option selection 6 times with pressing down arrows on LCD(To confirm entered information press button Left arrow).

Connect the Blink cameras to the Sync Module

The Blink cameras easily connect to the included Sync Module for a reliable home security system. When paired, your Blink Camera will be connected to your wireless home network, which will allow remote access from your smartphone, tablet or computer when you’re away from home. Here’s what you need to do to get them set up:

1. Before connecting your Blink camera to the Sync Module, make sure that both devices are powered on and plugged into an outlet nearby each other.

2. On the back of the Sync Module, press and hold the Connect button for three seconds until it starts blinking blue and green. This indicates that it is ready for pairing with a new device.

3. On each camera press and hold sync button until amber LED lights up; turn each camera off after pairing each with Sync Module in this way (you may need two people if you have multiple cameras).

4. After completing this step with all cameras you need to pair with this Sync Module, wait for around 1 minute for all devices to complete setup automatically (check front LEDs of both Sync Module an Cameras; they should be flashing for around 1 minute).
5. When green LED lights stays on Sync Module and flashes on camera – means connection was successful and camera can now be used within new Blink Home Security system!


Once you have completed the Blink Home Security System installation process, you’ll need to make sure that all of the hardware is properly secured. You’ll need to make sure the sensors are attached to the required areas of your home. Additionally, you’ll need to make sure that any software or apps that are associated with the system are activated and functioning properly. Connect to the Blink app

Once you have installed your Blink system and connected it to your home network, the final step is to connect to the Blink app. The Blink app is available for both iOS and Android users.

To get started, download the app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play store, whichever applies. Upon opening the app, you will need to create an account with a valid email address and create a password of your choice before you can proceed with connecting your security system.

Once you have signed in for the first time, click on “Add System” in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. This will then prompt you to enter the information for your newly installed Blink system; this includes username, password and system ID. Once all of this has been filled out correctly, select “Save” at which point it will begin establishing a connection between your phone and camera that lasts up to 90 days.

After successfully connecting your phone with Blink Home Security System, you can view all features available including Live Viewing/ Playing recordings; Adjusting settings; zooming in and out images; activating two-way voice (Away Mode); getting notifications sent directly to email or mobile device; cloud storage subscription plans (optional); livestreaming video footage online directly from iPhones/ iPads or any Android device etc., however some settings may not currently be available and may require firmware updates from time-to-time.

Set up motion detection

Once you have installed the Blink Home Security System and synced it to your smartphone or tablet, you will need to set up motion alerts. Motion alerts let you know if motion is detected in an area of your home that has a camera or base station. You can customize when and how you receive these alerts by adjusting the settings within the Blink app.

In order to set up motion detection, open the Blink app and select the location in which the device is installed from the home screen. Once in ‘Settings’ Select ‘Motion Detection’ from drop-down menu.

On the ‘Motion Detection’ page, you will find two options – ‘Sensitivity’ and ‘Alert Settings’. Adjust both of these settings based on your desired results for when notifications should occur for each camera/base station tadde-dto your system. Moves sensitivity sliders to adjust how quickly video clips are triggered by movement; lower values mean quicker response while higher values mean more sensitivity You can also select which cameras/base stations receive notifications or notifications during particular times (for example, night mode.)

The timelines setting allows you to look back at how activity changed over time in these specific areas across all cameras in your Blink system.
